Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish is applied in a thin layer, once a day, on infected nails, after washing and drying.
Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish should be applied to the entire surface of the nail and 5 mm of surrounding skin. If possible, Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish should also be applied under the free edge of the nail.
After application on the affected nails, it takes about 30 seconds to dry.
Treated nails should not be washed for at least 6 hours after application, therefore it is recommended to apply in the evening, before bedtime. After this period of time, normal hygiene practices can be followed.
In case of unintentional washing removal, Kitonail 80 mg / g can be applied again. It is recommended to periodically remove the free parts of the infected nails - for example, by cutting them.

How long does the treatment last?
As with any nail fungus treatment, treatment should be continued until the problem disappears, which means until other healthy nails have grown back, transparent or almost transparent.
Normally, complete healing of the fingernails is done in about 6 months, and of the toenails in about 9 to 12 months.

Important during treatment:
Always use Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has recommended. If you are not sure, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish does not require removal with solvents or abrasive materials (eg nail file). It is enough to wash your nails with water.
If you have the impression that the effect of Kitonail 80 mg / g medicated nail polish is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to apply the medicine once, do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue treatment as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist or as explained in the package leaflet.
If you do not use the nail polish remover for several days, its effectiveness may be reduced.
If you stop treatment with Kitonail 80 mg / g nail polish before your nails become transparent or almost transparent, the fungus may not have disappeared. in this case, the condition of the nails may worsen again.
As with all topical onychomycosis treatments, the combination of a systemic treatment should be considered if a fingernail or toenail is severely affected (more than two-thirds of the nail surface is altered) or if more than one nail is affected ( over 5). In these cases, please consult your doctor.
