INDICATIONS:
It is recommended in the prevention (in flocks where the diagnosis has been confirmed) and the treatment of eimeriosis (coccidiosis) in:
- chickens, turkeys and pigeons , produced by Eimeria spp. (Eimeria tenella, Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria mivati , Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria brunetti, Eimeria columbae) sensitive to the action of the active substance
- dogs , produced by Eimeria canis sensitive to the action of the active substance
TARGET SPECIES:
Birds (chickens, turkeys, pigeons) and dogs .
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
It is administered orally, in drinking water, the recommended doses being the following:
Chicken and turkey:
- preventive: 0.5 ml product/liter of drinking water, administered for 5-7 consecutive days
- curative: 1 ml product/liter drinking water, administered for 7 consecutive days.
The treatment will continue for another 7-14 days with the dose of 0.3 ml of product/liter of drinking water.
Pigeons:
– preventive: 0.5 ml of product/liter of drinking water, for 3 consecutive days
– curative: 1 ml of product/liter of drinking water, for 5 consecutive days
Dogs:
– preventive: 10 ml of product/4 liters of drinking water
– curative: 0.5-0.7 ml product/kg body weight, for 7-10 consecutive days.
For the preparation of the medicated water the body weight of the animals and their actual water consumption will have to be taken into account. Consumption may vary depending on factors such as age, health status, growth system, breed. Access to the water system must be permanent to ensure adequate water consumption. No other source of drinking water should be available during the entire treatment period. The medicated water must be refreshed every 24 hours .
RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:
To prevent the occurrence of coccidiosis, it is necessary to ensure the conditions of microclimate, balanced feeding and appropriate decontamination .
