Defumoxan 1.5 mg, 100 tablets, Aflofarm
Therapeutic indications:
Quitting smoking and reducing nicotine cravings in smokers who want to quit smoking. The goal of Defumoxan treatment is to permanently stop using nicotine-containing products.
Method of administration:
Posology One pack of Defumoxan (100 tablets) is sufficient for a full course of treatment. The duration of treatment is 25 days.
Defumoxan should be taken according to the following schedule:

Smoking should be stopped no later than day 5 of treatment . Smoking should not be continued during treatment as this may worsen side effects (see section 4.4). In case of failure of treatment, treatment should be discontinued and can be resumed after 2-3 months.
Special groups of patients (renal impairment, hepatic impairment) There is no clinical experience with Defumoxan in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, therefore the use of the drug in these patient groups is not recommended.
Elderly Due to limited clinical experience, the use of Defumoxan is not recommended in elderly patients over 65 years of age.
Pediatric population The safety and efficacy of Defumoxan in persons below 18 years of age have not been established. The use of Defumoxan in people under 18 years of age is not recommended.
Defumoxan should be taken orally with an appropriate amount of water. „
