Dicarbocalm Control is used for the short-term treatment of the symptoms of reflux disease in adults.
Reflux is the return of stomach acid to the esophagus (the tube that connects the oral cavity to the stomach), which can become inflamed and painful. This can cause symptoms such as a burning sensation in the chest that radiates to the throat (heartburn) and an acidic taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Composition:
The active substance is pantoprazole. Each tablet contains 20 mg pantoprazole.
Administration method:
Always take Dicarbocalm Control exactly as your doctor has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Take one tablet a day before meals at the same time each day. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water. Do not chew or break the tablet. Do not exceed the recommended dose of 20 mg pantoprazole per day. Do not take Dicarbocalm Control for more than 4 weeks without consulting a doctor.
Acid reflux symptoms may improve after only one day of treatment with Dicarbocalm Control, but this medicine is not intended to improve quickly. It may be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to relieve symptoms.
Dicarbocalm Control should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
