PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC ACTION
Ivermectin is an antiparasitic substance from macrocyclic lactones class, isolated from the product obtained by the fermentation of an actinomycete named Streptomyces avermitilis. It acts by increasing cell membrane permeability to chloride ions with the hyperpolarisation of the nerve or muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasite; it also causes the secretion of gamma aminobutyric acid in the parasite’s nerve synapses, thus leading to interruption of nerve impulses. Clorsulon (benzenesulfonamide) acts against Fasciola spp. (in both immature and mature form), by inhibiting the enzymes involved in the glicolitic cycle (3-phosphoglycerate kinase and phosphoglycero mutase). It is rapidly absorbed in the blood circulation, the efficient plasmatic concentration being reached in about 8 hours after administration.

POSOLOGY, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
It must be administrated strictly subcutaneously in cattle at a dose of 1 ml per 50 kg bodyweight (respectively 0.2 mg ivermectin and 2 mg clorsulon per 1 kg body weight).
As a general rule, the treatment is applied twice a year (in spring and autumn) in unique dose, and in case of scabies the treatment at every 10 – 14 days.
In case of reinfestation ask a veterinarian for advice regarding the frequency of administrating the product and about the necessity to repeat the treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS, PRECAUTIONS AND ADVERSE REACTIONS
Do not administer intramuscularly or intravenously. Do not administrate the product in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any other excipient. There is no authorization to use the product in lactation animals that produce milk for human consumption. Some transitory edemas might appear in the inoculation spot. In case of overdose (10 – 15 x therapeutic dose) on the inflammation spot edema, tisular fibrosis and necrosis might appear. Do not mix the product in the same syringe with other injectable solutions, in order to avoid precipitation.

Not authorized for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
At temperatures below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and freezing. Store in the original container.
