Therapeutic indications:
Treatment of onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes, yeasts or molds, without involving the nail matrix in adults.
The active substance, amorolfine, prevents the development of fungi and destroys them.
Dosage and Method of Administration:
Nail polish should be applied to affected nails on the hands or feet once a week.
Method of administration:
For topical use. Apply on affected nails.
Before each application, the affected areas of the nails (especially the nail surface) should be filed as much as possible with a nail file provided with the package. After that, the nail surface is cleaned and degreased with a napkin, soaked in a nail polish remover, delivered with the packaging. Before each application of Exoderil Set 50 2 mg/ml medicinal nail polish, this process of removal and cleaning must be repeated to remove existing varnish residues. Careful! Nail files used for treatment should not be used later for healthy nail care.
After that, the nail polish is applied with a spatula on the entire surface of the affected nail and allowed to dry. For each nail to be treated, the spatula should be soaked in the nail polish. Careful! The spatula should not be wiped off the neck of the bottle.
After use, the spatula should be cleaned with a napkin soaked in nail polish remover. It is important that the patient washes their hands after applying Exoderil Set 50 mg/ml medicated nail polish. If Exoderil Set 50 mg/ml medicated nail polish is applied to the fingernails, users should wait for the varnish to dry before washing their hands.
Treatment should be continued without interruption until the nail regenerates and the infected surfaces are completely treated. Generally, the duration of treatment is 6 months for fingernails and between 9 and 12 months for toenails (the period depends on the severity, location and area of the infection). If after 3 months of use no improvement is seen, medical consultation should be sought.
