Lioton-Gel, 50 g, Menarini

A few inches of Lioton gel, a minute of light massage and you're back on your feet! Due to the ease with which it is applied and its effectiveness, Lioton gel can be used both at home and at work, or whenever you feel your feet like "lead".

Its active substance penetrates deep into the tissue and fluidifies the blood, thus "releasing" the legs, and the hydroalcoholic gel leaves behind a feeling of coolness and a pleasant scent. In addition, due to the effect of improving blood circulation, Lioton gel can be used successfully against bruises or varicose veins.
Helps patients suffering from:
- painful and heavy
- swollen legs - bruises
- varicose veins and predisposition to varicose veins.
It does not leave greasy marks and does not stain clothes.
It is pleasant and easy to administer.
Lioton Gel improves microcirculation and combines several local effects, being:
- anticoagulant
- anti-inflammatory
- antiedematous
Useful in vein disorders: varicose vein syndrome, phlebothrombosis, thrombophlebitis, superficial periphlebitis, varicose ulcer, stasis edema; postoperative varicose phlebitis; sequelae of saphenectomy; local treatment of bruises with or without hematoma (eg accidental closed injuries or results from sports activities such as ligament strain, bruising, joint swelling); local treatment of superficial phlebitis that cannot be treated by compression.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Hemorrhagic diathesis, purpura, thrombocytopenia, hemophilia.

100 g gel contains 100000 IU sodium heparin and excipients: carbomer 940, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol, orange blossom oil, lavender oil, trolamine, purified water.

Method of administration:
Apply between 3 and 10 cm of gel 3 times a day on the affected area, massaging lightly.

Lioton Gel will only be applied on intact skin. It must not be applied to open, bleeding or infected wounds, mucous membranes or large areas of skin.
The use of heparin sodium may increase prothrombin time in patients treated with oral anticoagulants.
Prolonged topical application may cause hypersensitivity. In these cases treatment should be stopped and appropriate therapy instituted.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
No data are available on the use of this medicinal product during pregnancy and lactation.
However, it is recommended that the medicine be used for short periods only during pregnancy and breastfeeding and as directed by your doctor.

Side effects:
Erythema may rarely occur at the site of application or hypersensitivity reactions that disappear when discontinuation of the drug.
No cases of overdose have been reported. Due to the low concentration of the active substance and the poor absorption of heparin, no significant systemic effects are recorded. In case of accidental ingestion, symptomatic treatment is recommended.
