Therapeutic indications:
Treatment of vitamin C deficiencies
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid or to any of the excipients of the product. Iron storage disorders (thalassemia, hemochromatosis, anemia and deroblastics). Oxalic kidney stones (at doses greater than 1 g ascorbic acid per day).

Ascorbic acid in doses greater than 2 g ascorbic acid per day may interfere with biological tests to determine creatinine, blood glucose, creatinine, uric acid, inorganic phosphate and glycosuria. False-negative results in fecal occult hemorrhage tests may also occur at such doses.
In general, chemical methods based on color reactions may be affected. Ascorbic acid may increase the absorption of iron and aluminum from the gastrointestinal tract.
Method of administration:
The recommended dose for adults is 1000 mg ascorbic acid (a Redoxon effervescent tablet) per day until symptoms disappear.
The duration of treatment should be determined by your doctor. If lower doses are needed, preparations with lower amounts of vitamin C are available
